Claire Ramsay is a Research Assistant with the National Autism Implementation Team (NAIT) Research Programme in the Speech and Language Sciences Division.

I graduated with a BA in Applied Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2019, following which I worked with West Dunbartonshire Council's Work Connect program, helping support individuals with developmental disabilities and severe mental health challenges to develop workplace skills and confidence. I also worked in Mental Health support and helped to provide person-centred support to individuals with complex developmental disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and language/learning disorders; and also working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to tailor support plans and promote independence, communication, and wellbeing. In 2024, I went back to University and graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MSc (with distinction) in Research Methods of Psychological Science.
I currently work as a Research Assistant within the , a mixed-neurotype team, including professionals from Education, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry and Research. The team focuses on working in partnership with neurodivergent people and their families, focussing on supporting practitioners across Health, Education and Social Care in the implementation of evidence-informed practices across the lifespan and across a range of neurodivergent conditions, within the neurodiversity paradigm.
